Vetkem Acclaim Household flea spray is able to control flea eggs and larvae by preventing them from developing to the pupal stage but pupae already present in the home cannot be controlled bychemical sprays.
If left undisturbed, pupae can remain dormant for over ayear, and develop into adult fleas in spite of treating your pet andfurnishings. This means that it still important to use an effectivespot-on preparation such as Effipro on your pet.
Acclaim helps to control the immature fleas which live in the environment. Flea larvae thrive in carpets, under cushions and in the pet's bedding. These areas should be treated thoroughly.
Acclaim contains Precor - a long acting insect growth regulator which prevents immature fleas from developing into adults. This breaks their life cycle and protects your home for 12 months when used correctly.
Acclaim also contains a short acting insecticide to kill any adult flea which are present in the environment at the time you spray. This insecticide also kills ants, cockroaches, ticks, earwigs, silverfish, other bristletails, centipedes, spiders and beetles.
One can of Acclaim will treat 140 square metres (about the size of a four bedroom house). Remove all pets before spraying and ensure fish tanks are removed or covered.
