Whether you have a cat, dog, rabbit, horse or any other pet in between, there is sure to be a UK pet show for you in 2018. You may be a pet owner wanting to learn about the newest pet-care products, a potential pet owner looking to learn more about owning a pet, or an animal lover who just can’t get enough, there is a pet show for everyone. You should get booking soon though, as tickets to these events sell fast!

Crufts Dog Show 8th-11th March

Crufts, otherwise known as the World’s Greatest Dog show, will take place between 8th and 11th March this year. The show celebrates every aspect of a dog’s part in our lives, from appearance to obedience and agility. The best thing about this event is that it promotes the health and wellbeing of dogs at all times, which makes it a dog lover’s delight. Crufts 2018 tickets start from £18 and children under 8 are admitted free of charge!

DogFest – Various Dates June and July

The famous supervet Professor, Noel Fitzpatrick hosts this event that takes place in Cheshire (Cholmondeley Castle, 16th-17th June), Bristol (Ashton Court, 23rd-24th June) and Hertfordshire (Knebworth, 7th-8th July)- so everyone around the country can access it! At this event, which allows visitors to bring their own dogs, you can buy dog goodies, gain advice from the experts and watch fantastic displays. It is guaranteed to be a fun day for the family. Tickets begin at £16.05.

The Pet Show- 18th-19th November

The Pet Show will take place at Staffordshire County Showground and is any animal lovers delight, as it features almost every animal imaginable! Here you will learn tips on how to look after animals, watch some fantastic shows, collect some free samples and even do some shopping for your pets! More information about the show and tickets will be available soon.  

The GCCF Supreme Cat Show- 27th October

The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy license over 100 cat shows each year, but the Supreme Cat Show is actually hosted by them and features unique categories and prizes that cannot be won elsewhere.  This takes place at Birmingham NEC and visitors will have the opportunity to see all breeds of cats compete in this show and, providing your cat qualifies, your cat may even enter! Information on categories and how to qualify is available on their website. Tickets start at £15.30.

The National Pet Show 3RD – 4th November

This is one of the country’s best-known pet events, and gives pet owners and animal lovers the opportunity to watch interesting animal demonstrations, listen to experts (such as TV’s Supervet, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and TV presenter Michaela Strachan) give talks on how best to care for your favourite animals. The show takes place at Birmingham NEC the first weekend of November between 9.30 am and 5pm, and tickets begin at £19.00.

It is clear to see that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to pet and animal shows in 2018! These are the ones we recommend you put in your diary for a family day out this year!
