Mild and transcient digestive tract disorders (such as hypersalivation and/or vomiting) and mild and transcient neurological disorders (such as ataxia) may occur in extremely rare cases.

In the interests of good hygiene, persons administering the tablets directly to a cat or by adding them to the cat's food, should wash their hands afterwards.

Drontal Cat XL Film-coated Worming Tablet works with a single dose and kills all the common intestinal worms found in cats in the UK. For the treatment of gastrointestinal roundworms and tapeworms of cats.

For routine control, adult cats should be treated every 3 months. For routine treatment a single dose is recommended.

For single oral administration. The tablets should be given directly to the animal, but if necessary can be disguised in food.

Dosage guide:

The recommended dose rate is one Drontal Cat XL Tablet per 6kg bodyweight.

For cats between 4-6kg, give 1.5 Drontal cat tablets.

It is advised that an adult dog or cat should be treated for worms four times a year. There may be specific instances however where a regime of more frequent worming treatment is desirable. These would include the worming of puppies and kittens, hunting cats which eat mice, and dogs and cats which experience repeated flea problems.
