How to order
Here at Animed Direct we want you to quickly locate the animal products you are looking for. You can find products by using our internal site search facility or by browsing our website.
Use the top navigation bar which allows you to ‘Shop by Animal’ and includes sub categories such as Diet & Nutrition, Healthcare, and Accessories all filtered by animal. We also provide customers with the facility to locate products quickly via ‘brand’ and ‘prescription medications’, when requiring a specific animal medicine.
If you would like the website to present a selection of products based on a search term. Type the brand, product title or keywords into the Product Search located at the top of the right hand column on every page. Then either press the Return/Enter key on your keyboard or click the Search button on the website. The search results can be sorted by price, relevance, bestseller etc. You can also use the filtering option featured down the left hand side of the page to further fine tune your search results.
When you shop on www.animeddirect.co.uk and add an item to your basket, it is saved for you to purchase. Items in your Shopping Basket will remain until they are purchased or removed.
As you shop, you can add products to your basket by clicking the "Add to Basket" button located next to each product. You can adjust the quantities by entering the amount required in the quantities box before clicking the "Add to Basket" button.
Review your order
By clicking the orange Basket icon in the top right hand corner of the website you can view items you have added to your basket. You can also amend quantities or delete an item, make sure that you always click on the Update Basket button after adjusting any product quantities at the basket stage to save any changes.
Remove a product from your basket
If you need to remove a product from your basket, click the Basket icon located at the top right of every page. This will take you to a page where you can view full details of all items in your basket. Click the Trash can logo located under the word remove at the far right of the product line, this item will now be removed from your basket and the value automatically adjusted.
Proceed to Secure Checkout
When you are ready to purchase your order, click "Checkout Securely". Our checkout process is fast, easy to use and secure. Customers have the option to specify an alternative delivery address, and also select the required delivery service based on cost and speed of service.
We understand that there are essential items which you need to purchase for your pet on a regular basis, such as food and medication. So to make life easier, you can set up a Scheduled Order with Animed Direct and we’ll schedule the order to repeat automatically for you at a frequency of your choosing. Purchasing Prescription Medicines
A number of products listed on our website are only available for purchase if you have a valid veterinary prescription and have registered your pet with Animed Direct. These products clearly state that a prescription is required during the ordering process. In order to purchase prescription only medicines you must follow our online ordering process, attaching your scanned prescription during this process (unless it is a scheduled drug, in which case we need the original prescription posted to us, not a copy - see Scheduled drugs or fax, or post the original prescription to:

Your order will be processed upon correct receipt of the prescription and subject to our stringent validation process.
This simple prescription upload process can also be carried out in advance via the 'My Account' section. The 'My Account' link appears at the top of the page after you have logged in.
Here at Animed Direct we take the health and welfare of your animals very seriously, and therefore need you to register your pets details with us before we can supply any prescription medicine (POM-V) or other labelled items such as flea and worm treatments (NFA-VPS). During the ordering process you will be prompted to allocate a registered animal to each POM-V or NFA-VPS you are purchasing. If the required animal is not registered against your account at this stage, you are able to register the animal at this point in the ordering process. This simple process can also be carried out in advance via the 'My Account' section. The 'My Account' link appears at the top of the page after you have logged in.
Payment for ordered goods can be made by credit/debit card and PayPal via our secure online payment gateway. If you are having difficulty using our online checkout process please contact Animed Direct customers services on 01379 640052 (calls charged at a local call rate) and we will guide you through the ordering process. Unfortunately we are unable to accept payment by cheque. Following payment you will receive a confirmation e-mail stating that the payment has been authorised and debited from your account. An order reference number will also be included with this confirmation and should be kept on file for any future correspondence. Please note card payments are automatically processed at the time of the order.
Animed Direct is very committed to security and will ensure that all credit card and personal information is kept safe and secure. At no time are personal or credit card details stored on our web site or accessible from it. We reserve the right to carry out security checks on credit card details that are submitted to Animed Direct. This may involve telephoning the customer to confirm that their details are correct, not shipping to a different delivery address other than that of the card holders billing address, and contacting the card issuing company to verify the address of the card holder on file and to confirm that the credit card has not been registered as lost or stolen.

Delivery Methods and Costs
Mainland UK Delivery
Animed Directs aim is to process all orders within 1 working day of receiving payment and a valid prescription if required. If we cannot do so within 3 working days we will contact you by email. However please note that delivery is made by either Royal Mail, or Courier and delays can occur beyond our control. We do however provide full track and trace visibility of the consignment. Please note card payments are automatically processed at the time of the order.
FREE Standard UK Mainland Delivery on all orders £39 and over*
Delivery to Europe starts from £4.50, up to a 1kg weight consignment.
Cancelling your order
If you wish to cancel your order and receive a full refund, you can do this by going to ‘My Account’ and ‘Orders History’ and clicking the grey ‘Cancel’ button in the top right hand corner. This will cancel the entire order. Please note, you can only cancel your order if it has not already been refunded or dispatched. If you wish to edit your order, i.e. remove a product, you will need to contact our customer support team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01379 640052.
