Kalm-Aid is suitable in situations where pets have become fearful or anxious e.g. thunderstorms, travel, separation from the owner, or new environments. It can also be used as an aid to reduce unwanted or unruly behaviour.
Kalm-Aid Gel for Cats contains L-Tryptophan, which is an essential amino acid, affecting the production of serotonin. Serotonin has a calming and relaxing effect, as does L-theanine, another amino acid. Thiamine (vitamin B1) is added, as deficiency of this has been associated with nervous disorders.
Kalm-Aid Gel for Cats can be given in addition to any other supplements and is suitable for dogs and cats.
For short term use, give 1-2 hours before an anxious event.
The Kalm-Aid gel formulation is intended for cats which is easier to give - simply apply it to their paw and they will lick it off.
