Warning:

Do not use Metacam in kittens younger than 6 weeks old. Do not use in pregnant or lactating cats, or cats with gastrointestinal, liver, kidney or cardiac disorders. Metacam oral suspension for cats contains the active ingredient meloxicam (0.5 mg/ml). If any adverse reactions occur, stop treatment and contact your vet for advice.

Metacam 0.5mg/ml Oral Suspension 

Metacam Oral Suspension is a Proscription Only Medication (POM-V) and is used to relieve inflammation and pain in cats.

Metacam can be used for both chronic (long-term) and acute (sudden and short-lived) musculoskeletal disorders, for instance, due to injury.

It is also used for the reduction of post-operative pain and inflammation after minor soft tissue surgery.

There are currently supply issues with this product, if the product and size on your prescription is out of stock you must see your vet for an alternative. We are only permitted to supply the exact item (brand/bottle size) that is on your prescription.

Read all product instructions carefully and use as directed by your vet.

Treatment is usually given once daily by oral administration, either by mixing with food or giving directly into the mouth using the measuring syringe provided.

1) Obtain a valid prescription from your vet

2) Upload your prescription when you place your order or post, fax or email it to us In some cases, such as for controlled drugs (e.g. Epiphen) we require the original prescription to be posted to us.
