Vetmedin 5mg Hard Capsule for Dogs
Vetmedin should only be used to treat cardiac insufficiency in dogs. It shouldn't be used with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy cases or where cardiac output cannot be increased because of functional or anatomical causes. Read product data for full contraindications and warnings.
Vetmedin 5mg Hard Capsules for Dogs
Vetmedin hard capsules for dogs are indicated for the treatment of:
- Canine congestive heart failure originating from dilated cardiomyopathy or valvular insufficiency (mitral and/or tricuspid valve regurgitation).
- Dilated cardiomyopathy in the preclinical stage (asymptomatic with an increase in left ventricular end-systolic and end-diastolic diameter) in Doberman Pinschers following echocardiographic diagnosis of cardiac disease.
- Dogs with myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) in the preclinical stage (asymptomatic with a systolic mitral murmur and evidence of increased heart size) to delay the onset of clinical symptoms of heart failure.
Please make sure you order what is written on your prescription (capsules or tablets) as the capsules cannot be split in half for half dosage

Vetmedin Capsules should be given about an hour before food. Dosage is calculated according to bodyweight.
